Chnese Pocket Booklets Workshop

These ingenious booklets are made by the needlewomen of the Miao, Dong and Yi tribes of Southwest China and are used to keep their thread, braids and patterns in. They make wonderful gifts -folded containers for small photos, keepsakes and mementos. We will make the five compartment version using a range of beautiful handmade papers. The project book ‘Folded Secrets’ by Ruth Smith will be available to purchase.

All classes are held in her well equipped studio at Patriothall WASPS in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. Cost includes a high quality range of materials -handmade and decorative papers and trimmings- and refreshments.
